Hello and happy Tuesday again!
Today we're talking with Erin from EKayG Crafts. Erin's shop is focused around crocheted items, including race track rugs, stuffed animals, coffee cozies, and more!
Erin grew up receiving crocheted gifts from her grandmother, and in college decided it was time to learn how to crochet for herself.
After using and growing her skills for a few years, Erin started posting photos of gifts she had made for family and friends, only to find a great response. She decided to start making and selling her creations.
Her favorite item to make is the race track rug, which also happens to be my personal favorite item in her shop. As a child, Erin loved playing with race cars, so it is extremely fun for her to know she is helping give other children similar memories of wonderful playtimes.
Erin knows that there are a lot of very talented crocheters out there, so being "different" can be challenging. Erin provides quality customer service and great creativity in her work that cannot be seen in other shops. I mean, the octopus cup cozies are adorable and so unique, how could you not love them?
Outside of crocheting, Erin loves to read and play basketball. When she was in college at University at Buffalo, she played basketball for her school's team. Now that she's a mom, she looks back and knows that college-Erin would be shocked to know she's a stay-at-home-mom; frequently cooking, cleaning and crocheting.
